Remembering why we do all of this...

I was sitting in my Seminary classes and pondering a lunch discussion that I had with one of my fellow classmates. The CROSS came into our discussion, not that it wasn't important just that it was brought up. We engaged about relativism, post modern theory and the church's place in society. As I brought up pillars of the faith that can't be questioned we engaged more. To say the least it was energizing. When was the last time that you had a discussion about the cross?

I realize that I am a bit rigid in my views and maybe polarizing on some topics, but there are components of faith that are unchangeable. This discussion made me think about my view of the cross of Christ and the divisive connotation that it embodies. I am not ashamed of it. I will tell all, who will listen, about the man who died upon it.

Remember the CROSS of CHRIST. It is not a mythical component of a complex faith but in fact is a simple reminder of a single selfless act of one man that changed history and changed the world.

Thanks for reading. Be encouraged. Take heart and know that the cross is and was real and that the tomb of Christ is empty. God bless you guys.
