Three Happy Kids

Here are the Snider kids hangin' around the backyard. Ok, so it's not really a yard, it's more of a concrete playground. We don't have grass, but we do have clothes lines and great poles for climbing. Mia has a great red circle swing that her daddy bought. She spends many hours during the day riding her swing. Lucy has learned to climb like a little monkey, she can climb up the pole, across the parallel bar and back again. She likes to be timed and has a few, "Look Mom no hands!" tricks as well. Kaleb is happy to be swinging, climbing or kicking the soccer ball in the back area. We also have a long hallway that is GREAT for kicking soccer goals and playing tag in the dark. Only slight injuries to report so far. We really are greatful for our home, but as the mom and dad we feel lousy about our kids not having a place to play. So we get creative. We do try and go to the beach on Saturdays and find beach glass. We are collecting it in a glass lamp that we made from a broken lamp shade and glass vase that we bought in South Africa. We also can go to the American school and run around there. The boys can toss baseball, the girls can climb on the playground equipment and if it ever gets warm enough here we will be able to use the outdoor pool at the school. By the way, all of the pools here are salt water. Just FYI!

Sorry about not posting more frequently, but life still happens here and we get caught up with this and that. We are having company this weekend from Tennessee. We will be hosting a welcom to Mozambique dinner Sunday night then a couple who is praying about making a similar move to Mozambique will stay with us for a few days next week. We hope that we can be helpful and show them the realities of living in a 3rd world country.

We miss you all terribly but we are convinced that God is still on the throne and that He knows what He is doing with the Sniders. Steve's work is picking up and he has had the chance to go to Malawi and Northern Mozambique to see the work. He is preparing his first business plan and funding proposal for a chicken project in Nampula. Pray for him.

Bye for now. Send us an email if you get a minute. It is such a treat to check the inbox and see new mail.
